Fishing on Table Rock Lake

What anglers can expect on Table Rock Lake, from bass species to the best seasons, plus Missouri fishing permit basics for visitors.

What's biting

Table Rock Lake is best known for bass: largemouth, smallmouth, spotted (Kentucky) and white bass. Crappie, bluegill and catfish round out the catch.

Fishing is good year-round, and spring and fall are when anglers plan trips around the bigger catches.

Permits

Missouri requires a fishing permit for most anglers aged 16 to 64 and for nonresidents 16 and older. Anglers 15 and younger are exempt, as are Missouri residents 65 and older. Buy permits online from the Missouri Department of Conservation before your trip, and check its current regulations summary for length and creel limits.

Fishing from the resort

Guests can fish from the resort's covered dock, rent the tritoon to reach the coves, or launch their own boat at the ramp and keep it in a rented stall.
