Honestly, it depends on your list
We get this question on the phone all the time, and our answer is always the same: tell us what you want to do. Branson is more spread out than people expect, and where you sleep decides how much of your vacation you spend in the car.
So before you scroll through listings, jot down the two or three things you'd be sad to miss. That list will point you to the right part of town.
The three parts of town
The Strip (Highway 76) is show country. Theaters, restaurants and mini golf are lined up one after another, and it gets busy in peak season.
Downtown and Branson Landing sit on Lake Taneycomo. Think shopping, places to eat and a walk along the water.
Then there's the Table Rock Lake side, west of town, out toward Silver Dollar City. It's wooded and quieter, and you'll find more cabins and lake resorts than hotels.
Where we fit in
We're out on Indian Point, about five minutes from Silver Dollar City, on a hillside above Table Rock Lake. If your list says "theme park and lake," you'll feel right at home. Take a look at all our cabins and homes, from cozy A-frames to a five-bedroom house.
Our sister resort, Tribesman Resort, is also on Indian Point and has the same owners. It's open year-round and has an indoor pool and a free game room, so it's a good fit if you're coming in winter or traveling with kids who never run out of energy.
If your list is mostly shows, a spot on the Strip may suit you better, and that's okay. From our place, town is still an easy drive when you want a night out.
