Where to stay

Is it better to stay in Branson or on Table Rock Lake?

Town puts you near the shows. The lake puts you near Silver Dollar City, the water and a slower pace. A look at the trade-offs.

It's not really either-or

Table Rock Lake starts just southwest of town, so choosing the lake doesn't mean giving up Branson. It just changes what's outside your door in the morning: traffic and billboards, or trees and water.

Town makes sense if...

you're planning a show most nights, you'd rather eat out than cook, and a hotel room is all you need. Short trips with a full evening schedule usually work best close to the Strip.

The lake makes sense if...

Silver Dollar City is high on your list, you want to swim or fish or get out on a boat, and you'd like a real kitchen and a deck instead of one room. Quiet evenings are part of the deal too.

A day at the lake, our way

Here at Bavarian Village, guests head down to our covered dock, jump in off the swim dock, launch their own boat at our ramp or take out our 22-foot tritoon. Silver Dollar City is about five minutes up Indian Point Road. Most nights end around the fire pit while deer wander across the lawn.

Over at our sister resort, Tribesman Resort, there are two boat docks, an oversized swim dock and pontoon rentals. It's also on Indian Point and open all year.

Plenty of our guests split the difference. They spend the days on the lake or at the park and drive into town for a show or two. You can read more in our Table Rock Lake vacation guide.
