Head west of town
If you're picturing a cabin in the trees near the water, look west of Branson, around Table Rock Lake, Silver Dollar City and Branson West. That's cabin country. Closer to the Strip, it's mostly hotels and condos.
A few things worth checking
Count beds, not the "sleeps" number, since sofas and lofts sometimes get counted. Find out if it's a full kitchen or a kitchenette, because that's a big difference if you plan to cook. Ask whether the pool and dock are shared with the public. And check that the place is open on your dates, because some lake resorts close for part of the winter.
Our cabins on Indian Point
We have two kinds. Our A-frames are classic two-story cottages with a queen bedroom downstairs, a loft for two upstairs and a kitchenette. They sleep up to four, and you can take a photo walkthrough of most of them before you book.
Our three-bedroom Cedar Cabins have about 1,000 square feet, two baths, a full kitchen with a dishwasher, a fireplace and a 200-square-foot covered deck. They sleep up to ten.
Everybody shares the waterfall pool, the covered boat dock and the swim dock. We're open March 1 through December 31.
Need more cabins, or a winter date?
Our sister resort, Tribesman Resort, has two-story Dutch-style cabins with three bedrooms that sleep up to 11, plus two-bedroom cabins and condos. It's also on Indian Point and stays open year-round. The Tribesman unit list shows the beds and baths for each one.
