How many days should you spend in Branson?

Our usual answer: three to five

For most families, three to five days is the sweet spot. You'll see the highlights without anybody getting cranky. A weekend works if you're only after one thing, like Silver Dollar City or a couple of shows. A full week lets you slow down and really enjoy the lake.

A three-day trip

  • Day 1: Arrive, settle in, swim and have dinner at the cabin.
  • Day 2: Silver Dollar City, with a midday break back at the resort.
  • Day 3: A morning on the lake, then a show in town before you head home.

A five-day trip

Plan two days at Silver Dollar City, but not back to back. Spend a half or full day out on Table Rock Lake, a day in town for a show and some shopping, and keep one lazy day for the pool, fishing off the dock and the fire pit.

Why slower is better

Branson is spread out and theme park days are long. Trips that mix a big day with an easy one just go better, especially with kids. Staying close to the things you'll do most makes that a lot easier.

Bavarian Village is about five minutes from Silver Dollar City and has its own pool, swim dock and boat dock, so the easy days don't need the car at all. Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Our plan your stay page has a packing list too.

On a rainy day, the indoor pool and free game room at our sister resort, Tribesman Resort, are a good backup if you're staying there.
