There's no wrong season, just different ones
Branson stays busy most of the year, but every season has its own personality. Pick the one that fits what you're hoping to do.
Spring
The trees leaf out, the crowds are lighter and rates are often lower. It's a nice time for fishing and for Silver Dollar City before the summer heat. Most people wait until later in the season to swim in the lake, though. The water takes a while to warm up.
Summer
Lake season! Swimming, tubing, boating and long evenings outside. It's hot, and it's peak family travel time, so book early for the weeks around school breaks, and reserve the tritoon when you book your stay.
Fall
Cooler days, fall color across the Ozark hills and Silver Dollar City's fall festival make this a lot of people's favorite. Weekends fill up fast. Our fall festival post has some tips.
Christmas season
Branson is known for Christmas lights and holiday shows, and Silver Dollar City puts on a Christmas festival every year. Dates change annually, so check the official calendars.
When we're open
Bavarian Village is open March 1 through December 31 and closed from January 1 until March 1. Spring rates run March 1 to May 14, summer May 15 to September 13, and fall and holidays September 14 to December 31. They're all on our rates page.
Coming in January or February? Our sister resort on Indian Point, Tribesman Resort, is open year-round and has an indoor pool for a winter swim.
