Stay on the park's side of town
Silver Dollar City is west of Branson, on Indian Point Road near Table Rock Lake. If the park is the reason for your trip, stay out this way. Crossing town at opening time, and again at closing, gets old quickly.
The midday break is the secret
Families who love Silver Dollar City tend to do the same thing. They get there at opening, ride the big stuff first, head back for lunch and a swim when it's hottest, then return for the evening. That's easy when the park is five minutes away. From across town, it's a lot harder to pull off.
It's even more helpful with a multi-day ticket, when you want to pace yourselves. Our Silver Dollar City guide has more tips.
Two places on Indian Point
Bavarian Village is on Indian Point Road past the park, so you'll drive right by Silver Dollar City on your way in. It's about five minutes, give or take traffic. After the park, there's the waterfall pool, a swim dock on the lake and a fire pit. Choose from A-frames, Cedar Cabins, Deck Houses or two big homes.
Our sister resort, Tribesman Resort, is also on Indian Point. Its website puts it at a six- or seven-minute drive from the park. It has an indoor pool, a free game room and a playground, and it's open year-round, which is handy if you're coming for the Christmas lights.
One more tip: check the park's calendar before you settle on dates. Operating days and hours change through the season.
